KPK Workers Welfare Board Scholarship 2024-2025. The Directorate of Education Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the Workers Welfare Fund are offering scholarships for the 2024-2025 academic year. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Workers Welfare Board is accepting applications for these scholarships from workers and their children who are studying in colleges, universities, and other institutions. These scholarships are specifically for the children of industrial and mine workers who are enrolled in educational institutions for the 2024-2025 sessions.

Students in different types of programs have different deadlines for applying. For Inter/DAE students, the Last Date is October 31, 2024. For undergraduate students, the Last Date is December 31, 2025. For MBBS, Engineering, and postgraduate students, the deadline is March 31, 2024. The Workers Welfare Board will cover all student expenses, including admission fees, tuition fees, transport charges, hostel fees, library fees, computer fees, and exam fees. Students will also receive a monthly stipend.

KPK Workers Welfare Board Scholarship Scheme for 2024-2025

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Workers Welfare Board (KPKWWB) has introduced a scholarship program for the 2024-2025 academic year through the Directorate of Education. This program is designed to help students from workers’ families with their education. To qualify, workers must meet the definition in the Industrial Relations Act (IRA) 2012. They need to have worked for at least 3 years and must be registered with EOBI or ESSI.

Employees of the Worker Welfare Board and their children can also apply for the scholarship. This includes students studying in schools or colleges managed by the Worker Welfare Board. If there are no available seats in these institutions, students can apply to public schools or cadet colleges run by the Provincial or Federal Government. Students attending higher secondary schools run by the Worker Welfare Board will be given priority.

  • Category-1 (Graduates): PKR 3,500 per month. The application deadline is October 31, 2024. This applies to students with a 2-year or 4-year graduation degree from a recognized government or private university or students in affiliated government colleges.
  • Engineering or Medical Degrees, or Postgraduate Degrees: PKR 4,500 per month.
  • Higher Stipend for Certain Programs: PKR 5,500 per month.

Required documents for the KP Worker Welfare Fund Scholarship

  • All documents need to be signed by a government officer of grade 17 or higher, except for documents 7, 8, and 9.
  • A recent letter from your university, college, or institution approved by HEC, PMDC, PEC, or HERA.
  • The scholarship form must be verified by the factory management and the CBA.
  • A passport-size photo and an attested copy of the student’s national ID card, Form B, or birth certificate.
  • An attested copy of the worker’s national ID card.
  • A copy of the worker’s EOBI/ESSI card, which must be valid.
  • DMCs, certificates, or degrees from previously completed exams.
  • An original service certificate from the factory.
  • An original salary certificate from the factory.
  • The factory or mine registration under the relevant act.
  • Proof of a 2% contribution under the WWF Ordinance 1971 or a 5% payment under the Companies Profit Act 1968.
  • An affidavit according to the Workers Welfare Fund’s procedure, with attested copies of the responsible persons’ ID cards.
  • If claiming reimbursement, original receipts for fees paid to the college or university.
  • Proof of affiliation with an HEC-recognized university.

How to Apply for the KP Worker Welfare Fund Scholarship?

  1. If any fake, illegal, or incorrect documents are found during the verification by the factory, the Workers Welfare Board can take legal action against the worker and their children.
  2. You can get scholarship forms from the Workers Welfare Board’s official website or by emailing kpwwbscholarship@gmail.com.
  3. Workers from industrial units and mines in Haripur and Bannu should submit their forms to the zonal offices by the deadline. Forms sent to the main office in Peshawar will not be accepted.
  4. For Peshawar and nearby districts, submit your scholarship forms to the Scholarship Section at the Workers Welfare Board, Plot No. 2, Sector 3-A, near the FIA Building, Phase 7, Hayatabad, Peshawar, by the deadline.
